Portfolio of Works

Warm weather has arrived in South Texas.  It's time to head out to your favorite river and dive in.  Mine is the Medina River.  In Texas, most of the rivers are small but quite beautiful.  Our preferred swimming spot is in the Texas hill country, spring fed and crystal clear, and it is pure joy to be there.  

Water is life.  The pieces here are about our more carefree times at special swimming holes in the Texas hill country.  And how Mother Nature calls and nourishes.

A series of smaller works, mixed media of painted paper pasted on paper, colored pencil or markers which are abstract, sometimes whimsical and sometimes peaceful, with vivid color brightening any space.  Excellent gifts! 

The still life is very often a treasure trove of memories of my Dad, my "Tata" and I use artisanal items from Mexico, and his native Michoacan, to preserve the memory of him and of life in that beautiful country.  

Figurative works are compelling.  As one who uses body for expression, the figure is always a joy to paint.

The "I am cosmic" series began with a mixed media piece inspired by a lecture about creation and regeneration by renowned spiritual writer Ron Rolheiser.
